Shed Your Layers and Return to Balance
Join Kati for one hour of a warm yoga flow as we welcome the light, warmth, and fresh start of Spring! Find release amongst the darkness so that you can emerge transformed with new intentions on the horizon.
Class will be held in a completely dark room, with black lights to glow and lead the way. This darkness helps you to hone in on what’s happening on YOUR mat and in YOUR space. This warm class will build heat and tapas, helping us to shed our winter layers and nourish the seeds of our intentions. As we step into a new season, we experience a space of new beginnings and the opportunity to regain balance in our lives. Celebrate the return of light with us at Spring Equinox Glowga!
What are we being called towards?
- SHED YOUR LAYERS: Inspired by the Year of the Snake, we shed away what we no longer need, releasing heaviness and drag.
- NOURISH YOUR SEEDS: Take time to look within and create new intentions that allow you to regain balance and reset. Breathe into this space and create momentum to intiate action.
- ATTUNE TO THE SACRAL CHAKRA: Tap into the energy of your sacral chakra, a space of creativity and potential. Utilize this energy to reinforce and nourish your sense of Self and connection to your intentions.
Leave this 60-minute class feeling lighter, energized and inspired for the season ahead!
** This Flow is led in darkness under black lights and may be challenging for those with vision impairment or sensitivities.

Meet your teacher
Kati Black
Hi, my name is Kati Black and I have been practicing yoga for 24 years, with 10 years of teaching experience.
My goal is to bring the practice of yoga to as many people as possible, and open up minds to the physical, spiritual and health benefits of yoga and the peace and balance it provides.
I am always looking for ways to interest new students. I’ve been hosting Yoga & Beer classes in local breweries since 2014. One of the most popular being Doom Metal Yoga with a DJ.
In 2021, I added Aerial Yoga to my certifications. Upside down is one of my favorite places to be, and I love teaching beginners how to invert safely.
Outside of yoga, I enjoy spending time with my much loved husband, Marc, and my almost equally beloved dog, Lenny. Other passions include travel, reading good books (recommendations are welcome), music, and recently weightlifting!!
