Meet your teacher
Leah Foster
Leah first stumbled into a community yoga class in the summer of 2017. Always rather cerebral and heady, it was through yoga asana that she was able to forge a friendship with her own body for the very first time. Those early days of linking breath to movement inspired a steadfast devotion to her own recovery, healing and awakening. She strives to hold the same brave space for all who join her classes!
Leah’s teaching emphasizes the rebellion of reclaiming and strengthening one’s own focus, the richness and mystery of the inner world and the simple but profound joy it is to have a body that moves! Leah’s yoga practice has taught her how to luxuriate, not only in the thrill and vigor of working up a sweat, but also within the scintillating refuge available to us at all times through contemplative practice, devotional music and chanting, as well as the never-ending exploration of philosophy, psychology and social justice. Leah received her 200 hour certification in 2022 and has now taught for over 3 years.
