April Full Moon Reflections + Yoga
The April Full Moon, known as the Pink Moon, signifies the abundance of blossoms opening and unfolding at this time of year. The Pink Moon arrives at the true turning of Spring, signaling that we have finally arrived in this season of renewal. With fragrant and delicate blossoms abounding, buds developing and opening, and new growth springing from the earth every day, we enter a season of springing back to life!
The energies of the moon this month remind us to open ourselves up to change, growth and eventual unfolding. We are encouraged to fall instep and in harmony with nature, and to stop resisting inevitable change. This may mean reflecting on where we are holding ourselves back in life, where we feel caught or stuck, by analyzing out habits, patterns and routines. Change can manifest in a number of ways – emotional, mentally, physically, relationally, etc. By recognizing where we wish to see change in our life and taking action, we prepare ourselves to fully blossom!
This month we will explore the areas of our life that we desire to see transformation and growth. We will work to reocgnize any barriers towards the change we wish to see, and to imagine how it will feel to exist on the other side of change. Through pranayama, meditation, yoga and visualization, we will create space to become the change we wish to see.

Marta Gruber
Marta moved to Indianapolis to start a career as a hairstylist in 2009. They began practicing yoga their senior year of high school, and the practice never left their routine. Always a lover of movement, Marta has enjoyed playing soccer, running track, cycling, hiking, kayaking, crossfitting, and dancing professionally, but it was the 360 spectrum that yoga encompassed which attracted her so much to the practice. A yoga retreat in Peru became the catalyst for her to finally initiate the yoga teacher training program she had long considered.
Marta has a passion for helping individuals connect with and feel empowered in their own bodies. Their own practice has ebbed and flowed with different emphasis and styles throughout their life, and they feel that the same permission should be offered to their students. She believes that exploration is an important part of finding acceptance in our bodies and that rest is a powerful form of rebellion. It is these beliefs that encourage a sense of softness, playfulness and affirming support with every yoga class they lead.
Whether leading a restorative practice or an active vinyasa flow, Marta strives to bring a down-to-earth, genuine approach to her teaching, hoping to help forge grounded confidence in each student’s practice. With over 18 years of experience practicing yoga, her whimsical sense of humor and vast knowledge of the practice is woven into each class she teaches, opening the door for students to more deeply discover connections between poses, themselves, and the community around them.
