February Full Moon Reflections + Yoga
Join Cory for our monthly Full Moon Reflections + Yoga class on Thursday, February 13th! This special monthly yoga class has a different Teacher each month, leaving no two classes the same. Full Moon Reflections + Yoga combines postural yoga, breath work, meditation and special theming to create a holistic experience for mind, body + spirit. February’s Full Moon in Leo features the Snow Moon — a time to embrace the very edge of Winter and consider the upcoming renewal of Spring!
In February, we welcome the second full moon of the year, the Snow Moon. Named the Snow Moon by Native Americans, this time of year historically brings the heaviest snowfall, desolate and barren lands, and the last stretch of difficulties hunting and surviving before spring arrives.
The Snow Moon landing in the constellation Leo exudes energies of tranquility, purity, renewal, and transition. We are called by nature to rest in the last weeks of winter before considering what renewal and change the gentle fire of spring will bring, both personally and around us as a collective. We are invited to embrace the lasting moments of winter in stillness and dormancy, seek clarity within to know where we are, and nurture our connection to how nature moves in preparation for spring.
Join Cory for an intentional evening of rest, slow flow, and meditation.
In this 75-minute class, you’ll be guided through:
-
1. Full Moon discussion and grounding (10 minutes)
-
2. Time for journaling and reflection (10 minutes)
-
3. Somatic Slow Flow (40 minutes)
-
4. Guided, light breathwork and restorative rest (15 minutes)
Be sure to bring your mat, a journal, and an open mind as you allow yourself to be illuminated by the lunar energies.
