Aerial Teacher Training for Registered Yoga Teachers

Join Myriad Yoga for a comprehensive Aerial Teacher Training to learn all the basics needed to lead a safe, effective and fun Aerial Yoga class.

Our four week curriculum is structured to give you plenty of time to practice hands-on, so that you can experience the feeling of the silk as both a supportive prop and challenging adaptation. Your practical application is layered with lectures on postures, sequencing, terminology and safety, providing you a full scope on Aerial Yoga. Step out of this training understanding the complexity of an Aerial Yoga class the dos and don’ts, the whys and hows, and the confidence you need to lead.

Teachers can receive 25 hours of continuing education credits through the Yoga Alliance for full participation.

Schedule and Structure

A majority of your training will be practical application and lectures with 23 hours of in-person training. Students should expect 2 hours of at-home work to be done on their own. This must be completed to receive your certificate of completion.

Your cohort will meet every Sunday from September 13th through October 4th. Trainings will run from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

Your registration also includes two months of Unlimited Membership to Myriad Yoga for September and October. We believe that a deep personal practice builds valuable lived experience for you to teach from. Myriad encourages you to attend Aerial Yoga and regular mat yoga classes for as much practice as possible!

Who should attend?

Aerial Yoga Teaching Training is for registered Yoga Teachers only. You must have at least a 200-HR certification to participate.

Meet your teachers

Jordan Nommay

Jordan Nommay has been practicing Aerial Yoga for ten years, honing her skills and deepening her practice – always on the journey to learn more. She received her initial 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2021 and recently expanded her expertise by completing her 300-hour training with Rolf Gates, further enriching her knowledge and teaching abilities.

As one of the few Aerial Yoga Teachers in the Indianapolis area, Jordan has grown to lead well-sought after Aerial Yoga classes from Yoga students and teachers alike. With her specialized focus in Aerial Yoga, she has developed her own approach to leading classes in a fun, dynamic and inclusive format. Dedicated to making Yoga accessible and safe for all, she builds a welcoming environment that seamlessly integrates beginner students with more intermediate and advanced learners. Jordan’s talents weave together a playful, joyful spirit with clear and direct instruction for a unique class experience.

Kati Black

Kati Black has always loved movement. With her first movement practice at 4 years old beginning with gymnastics, progressing to cheerleading and dance in highschool and eventually building to a 20+ year practice in Yoga.
Kati began her Yoga practice as an individual, but was drawn into studio practice by the community and the guidance of trusted Teachers. Here she found solace for the discomfort of her body and her agitated mind.
Kati completed her 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 and moved her practice from the studio to the streets, practicing in public, at event centers, breweries and mini retreats. Connection and community built the foundation for Kati’s teaching. Always driven to learn more, she added to her skills with a Mini Yogis, Yin Yoga, and eventually Aerial Yoga certification in 2020.
Kati’s favorite prop is the silk hammock and she builds classes that share this love with her students creating cozy spaces of rest, positions for deep stretch, and challenging movement that call upon those smaller, often overlooked stabilizer muscles. Her classes offer safe space for students to connect with themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. She has the ability to open up an exploratory atmosphere that encourages individuals to connect with their inner-child, facilitate joy and take themselves (and the world) a little less seriously.
