Individual Alignment
Hatha Yoga
What is Hatha Yoga?
A slower-paced class that provides space for you to settle in and fully experience each pose. Incorporating aspects of Hatha, Iyengar and functional yoga, your Teacher will offer props and modifications to help a pose comfortably fit your body. Expect to spend several breaths in each pose, allowing time to align your body with your breath. Some classes may even take time to instruct more complex postures in a workshop style.
Our Hatha classes help to emphasize individual alignment for your body, conscious breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body. These classes encourage strength, flexibility, and balance, as well as concentration and breath control.
Hatha Yoga Class Types
Hatha Yoga & Stretch
The perfect balance of movement and recovery – 30 minutes of Hatha Yoga and 30 minutes of our Stretch class. Enjoy slower-paced movement followed by longer holds in seated and reclined postures. Build a gentle heat in your body to enjoy deeper sensations and stretch in held positions.
Hatha Yoga & Meditation
A perfect class for those needing a quick reset in the middle of the day. Enjoy 45 minutes of Hatha Yoga with 15 minutes of extended rest in savasana and guided meditation. For those with busy schedules, students will be invited to quietly step out before meditation begins.
Deep Yoga & Somatic Exploration
This intermediate class is designed to take you on a guided, explorative journey of the postures using self inquiry, creativity and somatic experiencing. Each class builds towards an intermediate pose, with opportunity to discover the most comfortable way to navigate the posture. Build a more confident relationship with yourself as you develop the skills to inquire, listen to, and sense your body.
Please Note
Any class indicating Intermediate on the schedule will include more difficult and complex postures and transitions, including less common asanas. These classes are recommended for individuals with a base knowledge of traditional asanas, who feel comfortable modifying their own postures, and taking rest when needed.
