I first discovered my love for yoga in college. I was playing field hockey at school and my teammates and I started going to yoga classes as a method for recovery. I figured out pretty quickly that yoga was something I really enjoyed, not just a great tool for recovery. I found a regular practice after I graduated and I started to really reap the benefits, especially noticing how positively it impacted my mental health. I decided to start my 200 hr training in the fall of 2023 at Dragonfly Hot Yoga in Madison, WI.
I have been certified just over a year now, and moved to Indy this summer where I found Myriad! I love building my students up and making them feel empowered to push themselves a little bit harder. However balance is so important, and as much as I like the more powerful poses, I think it’s just as important to give the body time to release and recover. My goal is for my students to leave their mats feeling better and stronger than when they arrived, both mentally and physically!
