”Self-reflection is the school of wisdom.” – Baltasar Gracian
WINTER IS A NATURAL TIME TO SELF REFLECT
Winter lays quiet and bare. The excess of darkness at this time of year suggests a time to introspect but also to rest. This is often in contrast to the brightness of a Winter day. Light will reflect off of snow or cloudy skies creating a clarity, a sort of glare of brightness. This brightness illuminates the dreams and visions we may hold within us. This is a time to turn towards our creature comforts, but to also seek balance in contemplation and self-reflection.
WHAT IS SELF REFLECTION?
We made it to the Western New Year, it’s 2025! Hooray! For so many of us, this sets a natural time to start fresh. We might have new goals, new intentions and new aspirations for the year ahead. If you have some of these items on your to-do list for 2025, it is likely that you didn’t come to these thoughts lightly. Often times, we decide to embark on a new journey after self-reflecting and asking ourselves deep questions. What is self reflection though? And how do we know if we are actually doing it in a healthy and helpful way?
In this episode, Zoe and Marta take time to break down what it means to self reflect, and provide tools to get the task underway to meet a variety of styles.
- Receive guidance on what is and is not self reflection
- Understand how to self reflect in a healthy way
