Our Journey
ROOTS
Myriad Yoga had its very humble beginnings in 2013 as Practice Indie, offering classes out of a small room in then CrossFit Naptown’s Delaware location. In 2014, CrossFit Naptown moved to 922 N. Capitol Ave, rebranded as Naptown Fitness, and brought Practice Indie along for the ride. In 2021, Naptown Fitness rebranded as Myriad Fitness + Yoga, enfolding Practice Indie within its brand as Myriad Yoga.
NOW
In October of 2023, Myriad Yoga moved into the historic Stutz redevelopment at 1060 N. Capitol Ave. Our yoga studio is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis in the recently renovated Stutz building. You can find us right on the corner of Capitol Ave and 11th Street, sharing the block with several well-loved and local shops, bakeries, and restaurants.
WHAT MAKES MYRIAD YOGA DIFFERENT?
Accessibility, inclusivity, and personal empowerment are core principles of Myriad Yoga. We strive to hold these principles at the heart of every class we teach, with Teachers who care about you as an individual practitioner. We are here to help you on your journey and to provide you with tools to feel autonomy, agency, and freedom along the way.
Accessibility – Our Teachers are well-equipped to accommodate all levels of practitioners into our classes. Whether you are brand new to yoga or a seasoned yogi, you have a place with us. Inviting and teaching you to use props and giving permission for curiosity and exploration create a container for your practice to meet you where you are at, every day.
Inclusivity – We welcome everyone to our studio. This is a judgement-free zone, where we hope you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. Myriad strives to nurture a non-competitive space, with simple yoga holding open arms to every experience. Our teachers show up with authenticity and personal expression, and we invite you to do the same.
Empowerment – Our studio is led on the basis that you are in charge of your body, your practice, and your yoga. This means we teach from a place of personal empowerment, guiding you to better understand the inner workings of your body, mind, and spirit; and the harmonious relationship between all three. Our goal is to help you feel trust, confidence, and belief in yourself – each time you step into the studio and step back out into the world.
