The Beaver Full Moon: Cultivating Comfort

Nov 4, 2025

Thursday, November 6th | 7:30-8:45pm

Full Moon Reflections + Yoga

This month brings us into the darkest season. As the days have grown dramatically shorter, and darkness pervades, it can be hard to see our focus, our purpose, and our next steps. Luckily, this November harbors the moon at its closest to earth’s rotation, bringing us the brightest and largest supermoon of the year! Inspired and guided by the illumination of the extraordinary moon, we can clearly see our needs and step into a time of preparation for rest.

Autumn is full of a vata energy, a quickness, a chill, an erratic nature may be present. We may find ourselves feeling exposed, at a loss, or in between spaces. We are called to listen deeply to the reactions these energies may pull up, and to create spaces of comfort. We look to the comforts already present in our life – our community, our family, our home – building our physical and emotional nest. This comfort encourages a conscious intention to slow down as the end of the year speeds toward us, balancing the swift pull of time. This builds an invitation to savor the last few months of the year, to cultivate spaces of nurture, and to embrace the darkness.

In this 75 minute class, you’ll be guided through:

  •  Full moon discussion (5 minutes)
  • Guided breathwork, somatics and warm-up (20 minutes)
  • Guided journaling (10 minutes)
  • Restorative yoga posures (30 minutes)
  • Guided meditation and savasana (10 minutes)

Be sure to bring your mat, a journal, and an open mind as you allow yourself to be illuminated by the lunar energies.

Marta Gruber

Marta has a passion for helping individuals connect with and feel empowered in their own bodies. Their own practice has ebbed and flowed with different emphasis and styles throughout their life, and they feel that the same permission should be offered to their students. She believes that exploration is an important part of finding acceptance in our bodies and that rest is a powerful form of rebellion. It is these beliefs that encourage a sense of softness, playfulness and affirming support with every yoga class they lead.

Whether leading a restorative practice or an active vinyasa flow, Marta strives to bring a down-to-earth, genuine approach to her teaching, hoping to help forge grounded confidence in each student’s practice. With over 18 years of experience practicing yoga, her whimsical sense of humor and vast knowledge of the practice is woven into each class she teaches, opening the door for students to more deeply discover connections between poses, themselves, and the community around them.
