August Full Moon Reflections + Yoga
August’s full moon is known as the Sturgeon Moon, named for the abundance of sturgeon traditionally found in the Great Lakes and other waterways during this time of year. Known for their resilience and longevity, sturgeon offer a beautiful symbol of endurance, abundance, and wisdom. This moon invites us to honor what has sustained us, trust the timing of our lives, and remember that we don’t always need to force what comes next. Sometimes growth happens when we soften our grip and allow ourselves to simply be (as nature does).
Astrologically, this full moon falls in the sign of Pisces, inviting us to surrender control, reconnect with our intuition, and release what we’ve outgrown. Opposite the Sun in Virgo, it highlights the balance between doing and being or structure and surrender. This is an opportunity to reflect on where you may be overthinking or trying to control an outcome, and where you’re being called to soften, trust yourself, and create space for what is unfolding naturally.

–Full Moon Chat (5 mins)
-Collective Card Pull (5 mins)

This month’s yoga asana practice will be a slower, more reflective practice with space in stillness and release.

Zoe Lowden
Zoe’s passion for movement has been a lifelong pursuit, starting with dance at the age of three and continuing through her college years. However, after a series of impactful life events, she felt drawn to a different path within movement—one focused on healing and inspiring others.
She started taking her yoga practice seriously in 2020, jumping in right away to pursue her 200hr certification. She immediately gravitated toward yogic philosophy & principles, as well as psychic readings. When Zoe is not teaching, you can find her giving Tarot readings at events around the city.
Her guiding belief is that love is the universal language, which she infuses into her classes. Zoe believes yoga should be inclusive and taught with humility and grace. Her teaching style prioritizes rest and introspection, offering a slower-paced approach to foster a deeper connection with oneself, with a bit of humor and light-hearted energy.
