Dynamic Sequencing

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

a flow vinyasa yoga class at Myriad

What is Vinyasa Flow Yoga?

Vinyasa literally means “to place in a special way.” With a dynamic flowing sequence of yoga postures linking breath and movement, you’ll cultivate awareness, sustain your consciousness and promote strength and flexibility.

Our Vinyasa classes incorporate inspiration from a wide variety of yogic lineages such as Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Yin and more! With such an all-encompassing style, no two vinyasa classes are ever the same.

Students may expect classes to build a sequence with repetition of movement. These classes allow flexibility for students to explore their personal practice by taking away or building in any additional postures and rest when they feel called.

Vinyasa Yoga Class Types

Vinyasa Slow Flow

A slower-paced flow class allowing you time to smoothly transition between postures, with longer breaths. An excellent choice for those newer to a Vinyasa Flow style.

Vinyasa Flow & Stretch

The perfect balance of movement and recovery – 30 minutes of Vinyasa Flow and 30 minutes of our Stretch class. Begin building heat and moving into sequences quickly ending with plenty of time for longer held postures both seated and reclined, offering the perfect balance of each style.

Vinyasa Flow & Meditation

A perfect class for those needing a quick reset in the middle of the day. Enjoy 45 minutes of Vinyasa Flow with 15 minutes of extended rest in savasana and guided meditation. For those with busy schedules, students will be invited to quietly step out before meditation begins.

Tarot Flow

A Vinyasa Slow Flow inspired by the archetypes and symbolism of the tarot. Each class centers on a single tarot card, using its themes as a lens for movement, breath, and reflection. Expect creative sequencing and moments of pause that invite insight both on and off the mat.

Breath & Release

A Vinyasa Flow & Stretch class inviting you to embody your breath, and to let go of the day behind you. Each class will focus on a different pranayama or breathing technique, weaving it through a posture sequence for a moving meditation experience. Breath work will carry into passive stretch holds, providing release, rest and quiet observation. Feel lightness and clarity as you head home for the day.

Please Note

Any class indicating Intermediate on the schedule will include more difficult and complex postures and transitions, including less common asanas. These classes are recommended for individuals with a base knowledge of traditional asanas, who feel comfortable modifying their own postures, and taking rest when needed.
